An x-ray is a diagnostic test that uses electromagnetic waves to create pictures of the inside of the body. This type of x-ray is called a digital x-ray. A digital x-ray uses a computer to create the x-ray image, which can be stored on a computer.
A digital x-ray is different from a traditional x-ray because it:

Why Get a Spine X-Ray?
A spinal x-ray can give our chiropractor in Colorado Springs important information about your spine. The imaging can help diagnose problems with your bones, joints, and discs. A spinal x-ray can also help find problems with the ligaments, muscles, and other soft tissues in your back that are tougher to diagnose without the images.
It is not always necessary to have an x-ray. In some cases, your symptoms, a physical exam, and your medical history will be enough for our chiropractor in Colorado Springs to come to a diagnosis. In other cases, we may recommend an x-ray or other imaging tests to get more information about your condition before beginning treatment.
We would only recommend an x-ray if we felt it was medically necessary to help with diagnosis and guide us with treatment options. X-rays do expose you to radiation, so it’s best to only use this course of action if it’s deemed necessary.
What to Expect When Getting a Spinal X-Ray
If it’s decided that a spinal x-ray would be beneficial, one of our team members will take you to the x-ray room in our office. You will be asked to remove any jewelry or other objects that might effect the imaging. You’ll be positioned with the x-ray machine and our team member will step out of the room to snap the image. We may take multiple images from different angles to make sure we have the best outcome. You may be asked to hold your breath at certain points during the x-ray to prevent movement that could blur the image.
Usually taking x-rays only take a few minutes. Once we are done grabbing the images, we will be able to review them on our computers within minutes. We can show you the images and talk through exactly what we are seeing and how this is playing a role in your health.

I did an eval with them and told them of two issues I've had: migraines and a pain in my right hip (sciatic nerve).<br>They took x-rays and told me all the ways my job has ruined my skeleton, but they also gave me a game plan to get it back to where it needs to be. I have not been able to start the process yet but definitely plan to.<br>They also gave me an adjustment while I was there and I have been experiencing relief already with just the 1 adjustment for the sciatic nerve pain. It was hard to work past 3pm because I was in so much pain but after the adjustment I don't start feeling pain until after 5 and the pain level is less.<br>Highly recommend!

100/100 Dr. Austin Clarke is truly and awesome man, he is so busy with people and different solutions to each situation but he takes the time to have small banter and talk about what’s really bothering you. He comes up with a plan that he thinks (knows) will work. I just started going to him and he has helped me feel so much better. I had hip issue for years and he said what he wanted to do and tada! Since I started seeing my chiropractor a few weeks ago, I've noticed a significant difference. My back ached all the time and would not go away no matter what I did. For every appointment, they began with decompression, softwave, and adjustments. I've noticed significant progress. I can now go far without my back crippling me at the end of the day, and I no longer experience continual pain. I had no idea how this practice would proceed when I arrived but they exceeded my expectations. They have provided thorough explanations and made it comfortable. Dr. Austin is great. I can’t stress it enough. If you have back problems or pain that you can’t seem to pinpoint the origin, then you need to stop in. My shoulder was injured and Dr. Austin recommended Soft Wave treatment. It was a game changer. Again don’t hesitate, go in and see him. His staff is great as well.
I had an issue In my chest, I could not breathe in without pain. I scheduled a stress IV to be sure I wasn’t dehydrated or having anxiety. When that didn’t do the trick, I was sure I needed to go to the emergency room. I was referred to Colorado Injury and Wellness by our friends at Revive Hydration and Wellness. Dr. Austin Clarke saw me right away, performed a rib adjustment which immediately helped. By the next morning, the pain was completely gone, and I’m able to breathe perfectly! Highly recommend!!

Dr. Austin is amazing at what he does! I had been dealing with some SI (sacroiliac) joint issues for a while which was frustrating because I teach Pilates and there were some moves I would not do because they were painful. Now these same moves are no longer an issue and I truly believe it is due to the wonderful chiropractic care I receive from Dr. Austin. Dr has adjusted my husband & I for about 3 months. He has made us more comfortable in our own bodies. I have a should that gives me a lot of grief. He mentioned about this red light that helps healing in certain spots.
